Description

Tecnalia’s Computer Vision Research Group is part of the Industry and Transport division and has over 30 years of experience in the fields of image processing and intelligent systems’ development. Throughout these years, the Group has obtained 19 patents in the field of computer vision, has completed over 300 computer vision projects and its results have been published in prestigious scientific publications.

The team is specialized in the adaptation of complex and novel algorithms from the academic world of optical systems and photonics for use in real applications in 24/7 production. In this sense, applications are highlighted in numerous markets such as control and measurement systems, product tracking, health, agriculture and advanced manufacturing in industrial sectors. The group is oriented to applied research as well as to the development of machine vision turnkey solutions based on broadband light technologies and deep learning techniques.

The group counts with a computer vision laboratory, a cluster for deep learning processing, a robotics laboratory and two industrial workshops with extensive equipment.
